Friday 6th November

Day very uneventful, had usual parades, semaphore signalling Physical drill & musketry. Lieut Herrod's horse which has be ailing all along died to day.

Saturday 7th November

Everyone has now adopted light clothing. Capt Stevens and Lieut Barton & self had a court of inquiry re the dead horse in the afternoon. Found that it had died from internal trouble accelerated by influenza.

Sunday 5th Novr

Church Service by Colonel at 10 A.M. Full Marching Order Parade at 2.30 P.M.

During morning the "Melbourne"
