just fills up the field of vision. After breakfast I went to bed till noon. Missed the church parade by the Colonel. Was very rough during night.

Monday 2/11/14

Still very rough, we rounded Cape Lewin at 3.45 A.M. this morning. One of the Mess Ords. spilt porridge all over one of the stairs. Old Face-the-noo was going down and slipped & fell into it, he was porridge all over. When the men had recovered sufficiently they scraped it off him. Instructions issued that everyone must sleep with lifebelts handy.

Still very rough, roughest we've had yet. Fiddles on the tables.
