given about 40 telegrams to send, they and some friends came on board during the afternoon & were entertained by the Colonel & Majors. Lecture after tea by Lieut R.L. Brown on Physical Culture. Lieut Griffin was imitating commands of various officers afterwards, in the Smoke Room.

Monday 26/10/14

Rough & wet all day. Kelly fishing, went to sleep, Nash tugged the line and Kell woke up and thought he got a bite. The cruiser "Melbourne"is patrolling outside the Heads. Had good old sing song up in the Smoke Room. Squashed a few who were sining "Sweet & Low" down in the Saloon, by roaring
