Again detailed as Officer of Guard; whole of "B" Coy. on Guard and Picket duties. Commenced duty at 8 a.m. with Guard of 21 men 1 Cpl. 1 Sgt. and life bouy picket of 1 Cpl. and 6 men. Morning uneventful, no land in sight, still crossing "Bight". Spent day as on 22nd. Came on rainy and stormy about 5 p.m. Played two games of deck billiards during afternoon. Gambling order to be stopped. Started series of lectures after tea. Run for day 281 knots. Up all night and during early hours of morning on duty
