Monday 19/10/14

Sea calmed off about mid-day and afternoon was very fine. Men sick everywhere, shortage of food all day. 180 miles to 12 noon. Sighted 4 funnel man-o-war - either Sydney or Melb - off Gabo island at 3 P.M. Lot of Military Books issued. Men had concert at night with the band after tea. Started to grow moustache this morning.

Tuesday 20/10/14

Exceptionally fine weather all day. Passed Wilson's Prom about 8 A.M. & saw sea lions, had Phy Drill for men; lost sight of Australia at noon.
