<p>[Page 77]</p><p>FRIDAY 23RD NOVEMBER 1917<br />Being on guard wrote to Lance as things consequently were quiet. Fine & moonlight evening so after coming off guard I went into the village of Sailly about 20 minutes walk & had a feed of eggs & chips. Returned about 8 & went to bed 8.30. Had a letter from Aunt Ben.</p>
