<p>[Page 67]</p><p>at 3.30 pm but I was sent to Hqrs as runner. Trip took 4 hours &amp; fell into a least 6 shell holes once so firmly bogged that had to be pulled out. Also fell owing to defective duck boards &amp; sprained right hand &amp; bumped chin. Was soaked thro&#39; up to waist. Had quiet night but most uncomfortable sleeping in wet clothes &amp; dug out also partly fell in &amp; there was no tea.</p>
