<p>[Page 65]</p><p>WEDNESDAY 7TH NOVEMBER 1917<br />Weather good &amp; the enemy rather quiet. Received a great batch of mail. During period up here received about 40 letters.</p><p>THURSDAY 8TH NOVEMBER 1917<br />Rather quiet day. Numerous aeroplanes about &amp; lots of the enemy too. Saw one hit by shell &amp; it simply disappeared in sparks. Do not know whose it was.</p>
