<p>[Page 54]</p><p>MONDAY 22ND OCTOBER 1917<br />Marched at 7.30 out to Vet hosp. about 5 miles out & took over the horses & mules. I got a mule - 240 animals altogether & various other units beside F.A. were with us.<br />Left at 12 & rode to a place called Desvres (9 miles) arriving there about 3.30 & put up for the night at a big cement works. Had leave into the town, bought some P.cards.</p>
