<p>[Page 49]</p><p>but without success. The German machine seemed to be very high &amp; the Gotha looks very big &amp; strong. They are all painted a much lighter colour than ours and look almost transparent.</p><p>TUESDAY 16TH OCTOBER 1917<br />Painting G.S. Waggon during day which was rather cold but no rain. Were issued with blanket. This morning there was a frost. Another air raid &amp; bombs dropped about 500 yds away from here.</p>
