<p>[Page 39]</p><p>TUESDAY 2ND OCTOBER 1917 &amp; WEDNESDAY 3RD OCTOBER<br />Reveille 6 am. Fatigues during day. Went to bed 9. At 10 pm were wakened up &amp; sent up the line with the teams. Left here (waggon lines) 11 pm. Went to ammunition dump &amp; loaded. Then &quot;went up&quot;. Baptism of fire which was very solid. Waggons stuck in shell holes etc. Unloaded at battery finishing about 5.30 am, Officer &amp; driver wounded. Big shells were falling near throwing up clouds</p>
