NATIVE DOG

This Animal approaches the Wolf in size and appearance, to which species it certainly bears affinity.  It is of a very savage Nature, but they are caught by the Natives when young and [indecipherable] it by them useful in Hunting. Like the Wolf they are the [indecipherable] fie of sheep and [indecipherable][indecipherable] the Flock amongst which one of them finds its way.
The Native Dog does not Bark. but sends forth an hideous and Melancholy Howling which makes the Hounds [indecipherable].

Native Name, Dingo or Whice
