a Tpr who is here to be Cpl. instead of my coming over. The other day the 1st Bgde went into the trenches to support the Infantry here, so at any rate they are being dismounted but it is I think only temporary.
Xmas Night 1917
Well, this Xmas has been a little better than last at any rate though not very much. I have at any rate been able to overeat myself twice today & owing to the Jews' distilleries there has been plenty of liquid refreshment.
