I put the rest of my furlough in in London which was three weeks and snowing all the while, and cold, and visited st pauls Cathedral a wonderful Building with graves and monuments of such men as Nelson Wellington Lord Roberts all buried inside the building. also made many friends at the Brixton Skating Rink which is about five miles out of London. get there by bus or tram. I learned to skate there, it was in those days when we used to go out from Addington Park Hospital without a pass, that I went there first. and found it good pastime whilst on furlough, afternoon and evenings and with the theatres, and billiards</p>
