Frid. 14th  June 1918 (Sat)
K or W. [Killed or Wounded] The corporal of our party was K by an enemy grenade on the parapet of enemy trench. Our stretcher bearers went out & found him but were compelled to leave him owing to enemy bombing them. At 3 am line to Div cut by shell fire, & comm kept open from our station by lamp. Expected enemy attack did not come off. Raining at 3 am. On duty again 3 to 9 pm.

Our OC received letter of application from SO 34th Bn, for the way in which the long message from them was received and transmitted by us at 3 am, when all telephone lines to the batt's were in dis' from shell fire.
