Thurs 6th June 1918
prisoners with sticks when at work. The prisoners were also told that Amiens had been captured some weeks ago. One of our 35th Batt (evidently one of a few of our men taken prisoner near Morlancourt, about 3 weeks ago) escaped at the same time as these men & intended trying to get through the German lines further north, near Albert. On duty 3 pm to 9 pm. Heavy art fire through the day. Received letters from home.

Fri 7th
In line V.B. on duty 9 am to 3 pm & 9 pm to 9 am 8th. Heavy fighting continues in the South. At 10 AM our batterys under heavy shell fire. 3 Bosch
