Let us assume suppose then that the whole amount of Copper Mint Tokens supposd by the officers of the mint to be in circulation will be are presented for exchange which may be the case if the selections determined upon shall mint but a small proportion of counterfeit of that they are paid for to the holders in Bank notes The account will Stand they admitting however that the weight of the Copper which originaly was 1200 Tons is diminishd about 1/6 & will therefore produce only 1000 Tons of saleable Copper

The deductions allowed on these calculations are certainly very vague we have not at present the materials necessary to make them accurate cannot be obtained but by experiment. They cannot however in any case materialy enlarge the gross amount & it must be remembered that by incurring the charge whatever it may be of calling in the good Mint Copper the Circulation
