Reasons why the woodland having Right of Commons on Wildmore fen have been valued by the Quality  men Employed under the Provisions of the [Journey?] act much Lower then in Reason in Justice or in Law they ought to have been


1st. because these woodlands actually yield to their Proprietors a Rent Profit of 30/-  a year at Least after all deductions as the Proprietors are ready to Show which Rent then divided properly between the owner and the occupier cannot yield Less than 10/- a  year annual value

2.  because the Quality men are bound by the Letter of the act, by its Spirit & by the oath they have taken, to Estimate the value of Land according to the Best of their judgment, & have no power whatever to take into consideration the return of the Crop which any Land happens to be under at the time of their valuation, or to make any abatement because that Kind of Crop does not yield so much winter Fodder as the Land might do if put to other uses.

3d. because if any such power of Abatement was lodged  in Either the Quality  men or  the Commissioners, it must be applied to all other Kinds of  Crops  as well as to wood, in which Case the Old Pastures in the marsh at Fishloft which have been for
