Swans
3 is esteemd to be a brood if alive on the 1st. Monday in August
intitle the person who has made the nest & watchd that the Eggs were not Stollen to Six Shillings a bird for which they give Six Shills.but if more than 2 are brought up a gratuity is generaly given of a Shilling or two & in case of 8 or nine the Six Shills. are generaly made up to half a Guinea
in hard weather in winter the owners send orders on the River to take in the Swans the Fisherman then Catch them & put them in his Barns where they supply them with Tubs of water & Feed them with oats & grains for which they have 1/6 a week for each bird till orders are given to Let them loose
