Statement which accompanies this Letter, until I have in the first instance done my Duty there ;  when that is the Case I shall be ready ;  but as the period of my return is uncertain, if I have no means before to bring Captain Short to Trial, I beseech their Lordships to remove him from under my Command. 

I beg leave to request their Lordships attention to my Statement and Papers which accompany this Letter.
