Trelawny Jamaica

20th Aug 1784

Dear Sir

I wrote you by the Constr. Trader Capt. Wright who sailed the 25th July, and  by him a Box containing a number of seeds, specimens with short Characters and some excellent Jamaica Bark which I took from a Tree 50 feet high.

You are at Liberty to dispose of this as you think proper, and I hope the Faculty at Vienna will find it a powerful antisceptic and Febrifuge medicine.

The seeds I gave you the trouble to parcell [parcel] out to Dr Pitcairn, Mr Aiton, M [Zinne ?] or others  your Friends.

I believe several of the specimens are new, they are so to me. My Collection is numerous, and I hope to increase it during the few months I stay here.
