Governor Bligh, a Specimen of it, which I have no doubt he will take to England.

In communicating with Col. Collins respecting our different Climates I find our Summers are much Hotter & our Winters much Colder, his letter to me dated the 16th Ulto he says the cold weather is already set in the Thermometer at two P.M. was at 62º and here the same day it was 94º in the shade & 122º in the Sun.  The difference of our Season for sowing is also remarkable at the Derwent they begin in Feby, we seldom sow until May & continue until Octr and some of the best wheat we have was sown in that Month.

It would give me much pleasure to hear you are in better health than when I last heard from.

I beg my respects to the Ladies & Compliments to all friends. I remain

Dear Sir
Your very faithful servt
