Port Jackson on the East side of New Holland being in Latitude 33º..5´ Sº:  and Longitude 157º..25´E:t, nearly opposite to Valparaiso on the West Coast of America, is admirably situated for sending forth a Squadron against the Spaniards on the Coast of Chili and Peru. 

A Squadron sailing from England for that purpose, if they were fortunate in meeting with a fair Wind which carried them into the North East Trade, might be able to get to Port Jackson, by the Eastern Rout, in little more than three Months.  There Water, Wood, Fruit, Vegetables, and fresh Provisions, might be procured in great abundance;  and even Men, if they were wanted to augment the Crews, as Seamen are frequently left behind from Merchant Ships that have occasion to visit that Port. 

Should the Crews of the Squadron have suffer'd in their health during the Passage from England, which of late Years is hardly known to happen, they would soon recover in that beautiful mild Climate where every refreshment can be procured.  Wood and Water can be got in every part of Port Jackson, and as the Face of the Harbour is general'y as smooth as a Mill-Pond, the greatest dispatch can be had in Equipment.
