nefarious party called Lord's, a pardoned Convict, and soon after while they were received here with great friendship, Mrs. Blaxland devoted herself to the Women of that Class which of course the Ladies do not approve of. As he has shown himself inimical to government I have not seen any thing of him lately; but I find the Brothers have joined partnership: the Younger remains in the Country purchasing what live stock he can, & Mr. Blaxland has taken a House at Sydney where he resides and sells Meat Milk & Butter. He appears to be a very speculative Man, and I fear will injure himself, as he has already some thousand Bills out besides money concerns with Lord who has hitherto ruined every person he has been connected with. He was so indiscreet, some short time since, as to unite with his Brother and write to me for permission to carry on a Distillery, & offered me a part of the firm, as he was pleased to term it.
