My Dear Sir
I have now to acknowledge receiving your letter of the 22nd Decr last by Mr. Wrather. It grieved me much to know you was again ill and as you have not written since, I fear the fit has been of longer duration than you expected. Mr. Wrather I think will equal your expectations - he is now settled on a Farm he chose, and I will encourage him to the utmost. As soon as this Ship is sailed I shall go to see him in my way through the Country. He has been fortunate with the Investment he brought out it being principally Tobacco, by which I hear he has realized some hundreds of Pounds, and taking care of it.
Your letter by Mr. Blaxland
