Should any promotions take place in the Navy at New South Wales I beg to call to your recollection my son Law who is my second Lieut. and has been 7 years an officer.- [indecipherable] my Dear Sir Putland has performed the whole of the Voyage in the Porpoise, but I propose at present to take him under my orders in the Sinclair to take off part of my fatigue in looking out which in a Merchant Ship is absolutely necessary.
