plants for Kew - they will amount to three or four hundred pots. - The resolution of the Council & Assembly was presented to me on the 24th. - it states that they had resolved to present to me a piece of Plate value one hundred Guineas. -
We are all in good health except myself - a head ach and at times slight touches of a nervous fever renders me almost unfit to carry on my Duty, but I am so interested it would be death to me to lay by - the heat of the climate increases my complaint, but as I have still a great share of strength I hope to stand a few months longer without any material consequence.
The greatest pleasure I have is thinking you will be very happy to hear of my success - There is nothing respecting the Voyage for you to be acquainted but that I trust will give you equal satisfaction - I have done all that came in my way to do & all this is new. - I wish much to see Jamaica that I may receive your letters, not one have I received yet, & the news I have of your being well is of an old date.
I have taken up my lodgings with Dr.Anderson who has shown me the utmost attention - I think you could not have so proper a person as he is -
