more benevolent or generous man never existed than George Trenthill. He is a man of invincible & incorruptible integrity. He has an excellent & highly cultivated taste, in poetry & painting particularly. He is a learned man. He has a delicate tact in whatever relates to man & manners; & he is (thank God) my intimate friend.
