to be got in Readiness against the Arrival of Captain Bligh, but I have not yet receiv'd any Commands. The House however is now sitting and having made fresh Application I shall hope I shall succeed. At all events I shall endeavour as far as the Botanical [indecipherable] and my own [Exortions?] can go, to [refrain?] the Disappointment & shall be happy to on all future occasions to receive any Commands either on Behalf of Yourself or His Majesty. You may fully rely on receiving by the first ships from this Port, the Plants you mention, with several others that I have no Doubt of proving equally acceptable.
It is with Pleasure I acquaint you that the Chinese Fruit Tree, (Wampee) You was so good as to send me two years ago, flourishes exceedingly & that as it propagates by Cuttings I have numerous Plants of it. I have also lately got the Aucuba Japonica but know nothing of it, except from Thompson's Amonitates.
