Our harvest will commence next week the Crops have a very promising appearance, but I am sorry to say we have met with a very great loss from the Fly Moth & which has destroyed more than half the wheat that was in Stacks as a reserve from last Years Crop its ravages have been great. As Cayley told me you wished for some Alpine plants from V. Diemens land, I have requested Coll. Paterson to send up as many as he thinks will be acceptable.
I shall be very anxious to hear of Mr. Brown's safe arrival. If he is with you I by my kind remembrance & best wishes to him. By the Sydney I shall endeavour to command some time to write you more fully & in the mean time I am
