On the Receipt of Yours I waited on the Mayor who went with me to the Young woman in the lower Jail, and find her very willing to go any where sooner than remain in that horrid place. I told her the contents of your letter and that I would get her a few Necessaries which I mean to do by drawing a kind of Pettition selling forth her real Case. She has been two years confind next February for a very small offence and her prosecutor a person of infamous Character so that her present sufferings are more than her crime deserves
You best know the manor to proceed in getting her dischargd from this place, which I suppose must Come Officially to the Jailer pointing out the manner
