home, it is very fit that he should go; and the very best opportunity of his going would be with the Rev. Mr. Marsden, Chaplain of the Colony at Port Jackson, now in England, who returns with his family in a few months, & who will probably take Stores &c for Otaheite [Tahiti].  If Mr. Marsden would take him, which I hope, he would then be taken care of at Port Jackson till an opportunity offered for his proceeding to Otaheite.

I beg leave to thank you for your attention to the Missionary Society by the inquiries you have made, and request you would assure Sr Joseph Banks that the Society is ever ready to pay attention to the four natives of the S. Sea Islands, yet they have found that it is the practice of some Captains & bring these poor creatures with them & then desert them when they come to shore, which obliges the Society to act with caution.  As to Tapioe there is not
