The Black lead that was found near the surface, hereafter we may be able to search for it, & I make no doubt but that Copper will be found, in going thro' this Country, you frequently come to poor pieces of ground, covered with a Stone that appears to contain a very considerable quantity of Iron, & from its shape, like the dross of a furnace, must have been in fusion.
I shall see Mr Wrigglesworth. I have never heard of the Convict Potters coming out. Two small Casks of Clay was to have been sent by the Neptune, but I shall send them with some others by the Gorgon.
