CHANGES IN COMMAND OF BATTALIONS.

Major J.W.A. Simpson M.C. was transferred from the 33rd. Battn. to Command the 36th. Battn. vice Major A. Cokke-Russell. [Cooke] transferred to command the 9th. Training Battalion.
Major A. Leeson-Prince was appointed 2nd. in Command of 36th. Battn. and Major T.F. Borwick (      ) appointed Bde. Major.

FINAL DIVISIONAL ROUTE MARCH BEFORE EMBARKATION.

On 15:11:16 the whole 3rd. Aust. Divn. with Transport carried out a route march of 18 Miles distance. All ranks stood the test well, stragglers being practically nil; showing that the hard months of training had been profitably spent and the men being in a hard and very fit condition.
This was the final test before moving to France.

ADVANCE PARTY TO FRANCE.

On 20:11:16 an advance party proceeded overseas to HAVRE, France, consisting of Lt. G.E. Prior Staff Captain, Captain J.W. Shreeves and Captain J. Stewart.
This party was charged with the duty of making all dis-embarkation arrangements for the Brigade on arrival in HAVRE.

MOVE TO FRANCE.

On morning of 21:11:16 the whole Brigade, with the exception of the 36th. Battalion, moved to AMESBURY STN. and entrained for SOUTHAMPTON, where units embarked for France that evening.
Brigade Headquarters embarking on "H.M.T. HUNLETT".
The Bde. crossed the Channel at night under Destroyer Convoy all anti-submarine precautions being taken, and arrived at LE HAVRE (FRANCE) early on the morning of the 22:11:16.
Disembarking, the Bde. marched to SANVIC Rest Camp near HARFLEUR where units rested for the day.

36TH. BATTALION & DIVISION REAR PARTY.

On the 26:11:16 the 36th. Battalion and Divisional rear party under Major E.A. Lloyd (late 4th. Battn. A.I.F.) moved to AMESBURY STH. and entrained for SOUTHAMPTON, crossing the Channel that night and arriving at HAVRE on morning of 23:11:16.
Major E.A. Lloyd left the Brigade to rejoin his old unit the 4th. Battalion A.I.F.
