in passing through fractured 2 ribs. He is however nearly OK and is coming home on furlogh only. All dressings are done twice every day, at 10 am and 7 pm and at the morning one all wet packs are applied whilst those at 7 pm are always dry.
Ship is now travelling very quickly, though at any time she travels much faster at night than during the day.
November 12th: -
To-day in a calm sea 321 miles were covered. Although the day was glorious at 7 pm a storm overtook us and rain fell heavily preventing us from sleeping above.
November 13th: -
On duty as usual all day nothing unusual taking place. More rain fell at dusk but it soon cleared off and the night was pleasantly cool.
November 14th:
Divine service on boat deck at 10 am & 7 pm, Captain Patterson officiating.
The day was a perfect one & the pleasant announcement made that leave would be given us at Colombo where we were due on the morrow.
November 15th: -
Sighted land at 6 am, and, at 10-30 am we were anchored in the harbour alongside an English Cruiser.
At 11 am leave began for staff and patients I being amongst the first off. Spent a pleasant day until 7 pm in seeing the town which is very quaint & interesting.
