I wonder you have any hesitation in quitting France.  I do not doubt that your merit & my interest would place you in a good situation here.

You mean to send a model of your Press by the diligence I am ready to pay the expence but is it not likely to be broken, had you not better send one of wood.  I observe also that you have had executed under your directions 3 machines for striking, make on the, the edge & parts of three presses for which I am to make the great screws here.

The only doubt I have on the [indecipherable] of the new coinage in point of expedition is the fear that you have not yet reducd your new manner of multiplication into practice.

I beg you to make a new die of Britannia as soon as possible.  I have sent you blanks of the weight of 250 grains, the size intended for the coins.  As you have workmen to pay you may be in want of money if you are let me know & I will Furnish you.

I have receivd the model of the Press & the design of the screw & am satisfied with them.  I began yesterday to execute them & hope in 3 months to have 6 great presses.

I recd yours of the 16 with a design enclosd which is clear & satisfactory.  I wish much for your Instructions relative to testing Female screws in Copper & some specimens of Coin when our work begins
