I have receivd from you 4 of your shills, &c, &c. I am charmd with the impression on Lead & would give one of my [indecipherable] for a halfpenny as well [indecipherable]. I beg you to take a Punch from the shilling die which is [indecipherable]. I wish you would not retard the drawings of the Press but as some parts may be difficult to express I wish to have models in board or perhaps metal. I willingly will pay the expence as time & number is of more value to me than money.

On the subject of offers that had been made to him by the Englishman & a [indecipherable] profit in the [indecipherable] respecting a Swiss die [indecipherable] inclosd. If you have not begun the shilling I had rather you would proceed upon the demi sol observing to make it larger than his English one I sent to you but if you have I wish you to Finish it.
[G. Elt?] [General Elliott ?] is soon to be at Paris. I advise you to be on your guard & not shew your press to any one nor any of your tools unless you can secure to yourself a benefit of £1000 at least.

I do not wish to interrupt your business in engraving & stamp but I am anxious for the designs of the press particularly for fixing the die to the end of the great screws. I am impatient also to see a proof of the new sol, it would be vastly agreable to me to see you here. I have many things to say to you which I cannot write, if you can prevail upon M. Pradeaux to accompany you I get you will pay his expences on my account.

I wish you would Finish as soon as possible the demi sols & strike me 500 or 1000 of them. I wish to give some to the King & one to each member of Parliament.
My mint is Finishd & I have got some good designs for Ld Heathfields medal which I will send you soon if you can send me the exact size of the blank for it I will send you some, these to get the first coinage.
