it must surely be admitted that the arts of Painting upon Canvas, of Chiseling Statury marble into Statues, of modeling for Castings of Bronze, of Drawing upon Paper & of Engraving upon Copper Plates, however they may display the national Talents of Briton at home the Eyes of the New Countries now do little towards promulgating the Reputation of the nation for the fine arts among foreigners when Compard with the effect produced by the Labors of the die Sinkers

The Painter requires & he deserves Large Prices if his works are Excellent, the marble Statuary is Still dearer & the Bronze workmen the most addictd to high Charges.  The draughts man as soon as he becomes Eminent, Elevates himself into a Painter, the Engraver who in Truth assists the External Reputation of his Country more than all the others, can not Part with the fruits of His multiplying art at a cheap rate, no ne one therefore has processes can procure even Engravings, unless they he has ve money as well as Taste.  it is the die Sinker alone who Circulates the Fruits of his Talents gratis.  The Cameos that he Engraves are given into the bargain to Every person who Exchanges Property for money.  They fall into the hands of the Poor as well as of the Rich & they are
