My Lord
having had the honor of being intrusted by your Lordship with some portion of the Direction of the expedition Commanded by Capt Bligh for the Purpose of bringing the breadfruit & other usefull Plants vegetables from the East to the West Indies I think it a duty incumbent on me to state to your Lordship that tho the undertaking was of so unusual a nature it makes it difficult & uncertain execution the success of that it unusual undertaking has from the judicious & able Conduct of Capt Bligh exceeded my most sanguine expectation
I shall not trouble your Lordship with a detail of the Particular number of the Breadfruit Trees & other usefull Plants deliverd by him at the Windward Islands & Jamaica unless your Lordship chooses to enter into the Particulars of his management more than I apprehend you will do but Content myself with saying
