expressed myself in such terms and manner, as I imagine shall have with the least degree of acrimony a tendency to repel the base, ungenerous, and unfounded offence with which I am charged and to promote the fullest and most impartial discussion of its merits and demerits before the most proper Court.

Read by Mr Gore and afterwards delivered into the Acting Deputy Judge Advocate on the 21st. March 1808 when 6 Officers were assembled with him for the purpose of holding a Criminal Court.
