for now applying, and I hereby do apply to the present Acting Deputy Judge Advocate of this Territory in his official capacity, to take such measures as are legal and proper to remove my Trial before His Majesty's court of King's Bench in England it being the only Court before which, to the best of my belief and knowledge, I can in the present situation of Affairs have a fair and impartial Trial.

Before I conclude, allow me, Gentlemen to observe that I am activated by no motives of disrespect towards you, I am only contending against your authority, and for my own rights as a British Subject and as a British civil officer who by virtue of his office being immediately under the protection of and amenab[le] to His Majesty's Court of King's Bench claims his unlienable right of going before  that superior Court, from which he confidently expects to obtain a full, a free and an impartial Trial.

I likewise, Gentlemen, beg leave to defend the intention of using any language which may be calculated to irritate your minds, as I have merely expressed
