I am still a prisoner, and under such an unparalleled situation, hope their Lordships will see that I have done my utmost to secure His Majesty's Ship.  For their farther information, I beg leave to inclose such correspondence as I have had concerning my getting more fully the Command of her.  I also beg leave to inclose Copies of Letters respecting Captain Kent sitting on a Criminal Court under the present usurped Government.

The Colony is in a very impoverished and forlorn state, and now entirely under the Military and McArthur;  every Person except them is broken spirited, and Agriculture much neglected.  Relief from England is the only comfort they look to.  The Rebels appear to have had much fluctuation in their opinions how to act; it is now said to rest with Lieut.t Governor Paterson, to whom Lieut.t Colonel Foveaux has sent the Estramina Colonial Schooner.
