next to being his share of the amount of Mr. Pennel's bill beyond what is defrayd by the subscriptions & also thirdly to pay his share of the costs thrown on the two nominal Planitiffs [Plaintiffs] Taylor & Baxter. the sum which they together amount to being divided by the number of subscribers.

This the way in which The Law would divide the Charge equaly among the subscribers but the equitable & what I have no doubt is the proper manner to be adopted is that all who have subscribd so fully in proportion to their original subscription, that is as many shillings in the Pound as the sum of money to be paid will make when compard with the sum which has been already paid as subscribed otherwise the poorests pay as much as the rich which is evidently improper.

In this manner I mean to pay myself & I still sollicit Ld. Morgan who is in town & Sr. Gilbert to do the same.  I wish it also be proposed to every one all of the subscribers of more than 10 guineas. every who does it as fas it goes the amount of what must be divided among them who shoose to pay by the head.

You best know what the amount of the subscription is & also how much the Plaintiffs costs amount to & can therefore readily calculate how much everyone is to pay.

In order that this charge so unintentional unwarily incurrd may be made as easy to the poorer subscribers as much as possible as those who have subscribed less will be gainers by this mode they must not be asked till the others have agreed to it.
