your Lordship is acquainted with I am truly sorry that the business should have producd this unexpectd dificulty but since it has so happend must beg leave to Crave your Lordships interference both as to the explaining it fully to Sr. Js: to  whom as being an intire stranger I could not take the Liberty of writing so confidentialy on the Subject & as to the using any other means you may think proper of informing H.M. of the nature of the Case.

it occurs my Lord that as it may be agreable to your Lordship & to Sr. Jos: that I should mention what may be a proper & an acceptable return from H.M. to Madame del C – s present as the sheep but particularly the Rams of the fine breed of this Country bear a great value, I cannot suggest a nearer equivalent for them considering it is a present from the King than a set of English Carriage horses which the Countess being very rich & overstockd with diamonds I conceive may be more acceptable to her than any thing else.
