My Lord

I have at last the Satisfaction to acquaint your Lordship that the Kings sheep are embarkd & I hope ere this safe arrivd at Southton my delay in executing the Commission has been unavoidable for the Reasons I have explained to Sr. Jos Banks & should your Lordship peruse my Letters I trust you will be satisfied that the business could not with propriety have been done sooner.  Unfortunately the most embarrassing part of it remains to be settled & Lays me under the necessity of intreating your Lordships assistance to get it Compleated in a becoming & handsome manner you will see by the enclosed Copy of my Letter of this date to Sr. Js: how the matter Stands with respect to M. del Campo de Alange the present Minister of the war department in their Countrey or more properly with respect to his Lady from whose Flock I procured the Sheep & I trust you will see the necessity of the Kings making some kind of acknowledgment to them for the mark of attention they have shown to H.M.  Provided Sr. Jos: Banks explains the matter to the King there can be no doubt of H.M. taking proper notice of it but in case he should not, I have to request your Lordship to use some means to have it Conveyd to the Kings Knowledge in order that H.M. & indeed myself also may not appear in a bad Light in the Eyes of the Spanish Minister & his Lady it was unavoidable it Should be Known that the Sheep were intended for the King for otherwise the Licence for their Exportation could not have been procurd & M. & Mad del Campo de Alanges gallantry on the occasion (to which I have been exposd by your Friend Montory as indolence & neglect) has been conformable to the usage of their own Country which
