information on this head relative to the mode of Collection & preparing this kind of manure which when used is Free from smell will be very interesting it is a previous consideration that this kind of manure produced in London no doubt much more Efficaceous on account of the better food of those who provide it Note that of Canton should be allowd to be wasted & all the increase of Produce deriveable from it lost to the Community

The oaks of China are said to keep the same character for durability of Timber as our they are also so long lived as to calld in Chinese the Tree of inheritance if the acorns of the most valuable kind of oak that bear the Climate of Pekin could be obtaind they would make valuable addition to our Forests unluckily acorns soon lose their vegetative Life if however a Package of acorns packed in moss could be obtaind & sent with the baggage to the Place where the Embassy Embarks for Canton after having passd the last Land Passage I have no doubt of them continuing alive as long as the moss is kept damp Such a Package of 10lb weight would bring abundance of acorns which may be sewn in Boxes & Carried on a growing slab to Canton

The broad Leaf with which Tea is Packd seems to be a kind of Bomba but the Plant is utterly unknown to us   Some account of it would be acceptable & if the Plant could be obtaind it might be an useful acquisition to our Colonies

I am told that the Lemon is not known in the Chines Gardens That & the Lime may be Easily procured at Rio de Janeiro
