DIARY
Sunday October 18th
The following embarked on HMTS "Clan Mackquodale" (A 6): - Lieut. A.A. Butler, Transport Sgt Elliott and 26 men - in charge of 102 horses viz: 66 transport & pack horses, & 12 riding horses from each squadron (vide R.O. 50) & pulled into midstream.
Monday October 19th
Rest of No. 1 L.H. leave Roseberry & embark, with all baggage etc, on board HMTS "Star of Victoria" (A 16) & pull out into midstream.
Tuesday October 20th
Transport ships sail @ 6.30 am en route for Albany.
Monday October 26th
Arrived at Albany @ 8.30 am and anchor in the harbour. Joined later by rest of Ausn. and N.Z. transports.
Sunday November 1st
Transport fleet and convoy leave Albany Harbour; sail @ 7.30 am. Man put ashore, medically unfit, No 165 Pte. White L.G. on Saturday afternoon October 31st.
Memo: 165 Private White L.G. died at Albany.
