Para 4 Smoking, Striking matches, Use of unmasked lights throughout whole Brigade area has already caused hostile machine gun fire, direct and indirect - this must cease absolutely except where shielded by Buildings or Dugouts from any possibility of enemy observation. All ranks must be immediately acquainted with this and offenders punished.
5 All Fortifications of pay are to be entered in Paybook at full daily rate of pay minus deferred pay - The fortification of deferred pay will be adjusted at the final settlement of soldiers account.
