Had to keep our eyes open & go slowing but it is horribly wet & muddy on the oaths now – the snow has melted. I caused a little amusement. I thought I looked like a Lady Jockey. Of course I was complimented on my suitable attire. High-gum-boots, South wester & dress pinned up, so that I think it was very wise. My work is running from tent to tent & my line in the longest from No 4 to No. 10.

Received such a crowd yesterday. In the morning evacuated
