her because it is an awful time to when the beloved one is in the firing line & he has been lately. Still she is jolly lucky because he is very very true, she got a cable the other day, so knows he is safely through & letters on the way.

Some of my dear pals have been thinking of me this week, had letters from quite a number & they are expecting to be in the Line again.

Miss Conyers will be in Melb. by the time you get this. Believe she left last week. I wish you folk
